Based on participant feedback, the Headliner Concert has moved to the finish line festival at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot shortly after the race. The free show will be open to participants, family, friends and the general public.

Boasting a mixture of music somewhere between Psychobilly, Rock ‘n’ Roll, and Rockabilly, is the power trio of the Faraway Boys. With a punk style and desire to succeed, the Faraway boys first began playing in 2005 on a street corner in Laguna Beach, CA. Since, they have played the local club scene as well as embarked on a number of small tours. Remembering their roots, performing on the street corner prepared the Faraway Boys for the endurance and confidence that is needed to perform in front of a crowd.
Now recording their classic songs of “Sailor Jerry Rum” and “Cowboy Moon”, the Faraway Boys are constantly fine tuning their music for their performances on the weekends. Living by their motto of “Anytime –Any Where”, the Faraway Boys have performed up and down California as well as parts of the Mid West.

With an incredibly eclectic showcase of music, The Bigfellas have become a band that is know throughout local TV, radio, and local club and festival performances. They have been voted “Best Local Band in San Diego” for the past two years. Know for their playful, humorous rap and outlandish song titles and lyrics, the Bigfellas produce music that includes 20’s French Pop, waltz, and sonic noise.
Working from influences such as Ben Folds Five, Beck and Steely Dan, the Bigfellas recently released their new album “Chubbed Up” in October of 2008. Using their satire and humor to create new and unique music, the Bigfellas keep propelling forward promising their “schizophrenic fest” of a performance to the crowd.

Plane without a Pilot is a Pop-punk band with a trio of hardworking musicians from San Diego, CA. They pride themselves on their never-ending work ethic and endless desire to tour. They believe these are the key ingredients in shooting to the top. They released two EP’s in 2005 and 2006 and are now working on their new debut full length album titled “It’s About Time”. They are calling this their “Best release to date!”
Constantly working to improve and enhance their sound, they push themselves to try new things and think outside the box. The Bayou Brothers are a four person Zydeco band. Aiming to replicate music straight from Louisiana, the Bayou Brothers provide musical tunes that provide the atmosphere reminiscent of Zydeco dance clubs, Mardi Gras celebrations, bayou festivals, and backyard crawfish boils.
Using a variety of instruments including an accordion, keyboards, bass, drums, and rub-board, the Bayou Brothers produce a unique fusion of Zydeco, some blues, R&B, Cajun, and oldies. The individual members have been playing professionally for more than 30 years, but when they come together as the Bayou Brothers Band, their seasoned talent mixed with their never ending showmanship provides “hot & spicy musical jambalaya” you won’t forget.
